Vietnam continued its streak of trade surpluses in 2023, making it eight consecutive years, with an estimated 26 billion USD, or nearly triple the figure in 2022 and a new record.

Vietnam is expected to post a trade surplus of nearly 6 billion USD in the first nine months of this year.

In 2018, total export value increased by 13.8% while import value rose by 11.5% year-on-year. Vietnam’s trade surplus in the year reached 7.2 billion USD.
